True of False: If I go outside my health plan coverage for care or testing that I need or want...the cost will be prohibitive.

Question:  Have you ever wanted a high quality, affordable, common sense alternative?

Answers:

1.  FALSE...Now you can.

2.  FALSE...See "What about Price and Value"

3.  Most tell us...YES!

If you're tired of the managed care run-around, wonder if your HMO really cares, would rather see a specialist than a "gate-keeper" or get confused in the media hype about women's health issues...consider this:

We specialize in the most important and appropriate part of women's health care often not available through your health plan.  You can keep your coverage as is and simply compliment your care with "Business Class" attention to detail.  It is what our best research tells us you need and what women consistently tell us they want.

There is obvious value for you with direct access to specialty care.  It enhances quality and also saves time and cost.  "Do it right the first time" has and always will be the best strategy for maintaining your health.  Consider these enormous personal medical costs of the major illnesses for women that go beyond the issues of pain, suffering, disability, loss of income and premature death:

1.  Cancer of the Cervix, uterus or ovary:     $100,000-$400,000
2.  Cardiovascular disease:                          $100,000-$400,000
3.  Osteoporosis:                                            $100,000-$400,000

Even if cost were no object, prevention is the only real way to insure against these kinds of disasters.

Welcome...to a new concept in women's health.

We have patterned a Health Map from a new program designed and recommended by several medical centers and directed by the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center and School of Medicine.  The objectives of this strategy are to:

--keep you well...(physically able, mentally clear and pain free)
--prevent illness
--support your emotional state and spiritual well being.

New Services for early detection:

Most have heard and appreciate the value of early detection of problems.  "A stitch in time saves nine" is true in women's health now more than ever.  Technologies have improved dramatically and costs have come down for many screening procedures.  This improves the availabilty and accessibilty of testing for more women regardless of insurance coverage.   With early detection, most gynecological problems can be managed in the office, simply, precisely, comfortably and affordably.  The current literature and our experience highlights the importance of early detection for at least five common and serious threats to women's health.  We now offer in-office, state-of-the-art screening for:

Cervical Disease

Screening colposcopy to enhance pap smear testing

Ovarian and Uterine Problems

Vaginal ultrasound (sonograms) to improve the early detection of uterine and ovarian disease and ovarian cancer.

Breast Changes

Breast ultrasound (sonography) to complement mammography
and office examinations when breast masses are found.

Osteopenia and Osteoporosis

Bone density testing.

Cardiovascular Disease   (CVD)

Often mistakenly thought of as a man's ailment, CVD is the
number one cause of death and disabilty in menopausal women.  We can help assure that you are doing everything possible to minimize this "silent" risk.  Virtually all of our research has identified the critical importance of ensuring a healthy life-style, plus, one can then consider taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) starting at menopause.  Given properly, HRT is safe and effective in significantly decreasing the risk of heart attacks and strokes and does not increase the risk of cancer.
